WebDec 18, 2010 · You can read the log/txt files easier if you right click on Notepad or Wordpad then RUN AS ADMIN - then you can navigate to sfcdetails.txt ( in C:\Windows\System32 ) or cbs.log ( in C:\Windows\Logs ) as needed. (You may need to search for sfcdetails.txt if it was not created in the default folders.) WebGenerally speaking it's good practice to rename the log every time you do a sfc /scannow since it's complicated enough to read with only one scan the less data inside it the better. Once you have a nice small workable sized CBS.log from the most recent sfc /scannow scan go ahead and open it up and lets take a look inside.
